You never know what life is going to throw at you. I certainly didn’t. In my late fifties, I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Poor circulation followed, and eventually I lost my left leg — and with it, my income. I had no emergency fund. No budget. No financial cushion. And when everything fell apart at once, money became one more burden on top of an already overwhelming crisis.

But it shouldn’t be that way.

When life blindsides you, your finances should be the last thing you have to worry about. And with the right plan in place, they can be.

That’s why, as a financial coach, I’m not here to run a business or make a profit. I’m here because I’ve lived the consequences of not being prepared. I’m here because I know what it feels like to face a crisis with no safety net. And I’m here because I believe in neighbors helping neighbors.

If you ever face a family emergency or a personal crisis, I want money to be the least of your worries. I want you to have a plan, a cushion, and the confidence that comes from knowing you’re ready for whatever life brings.
